Music makes us feel any emotion really. Try this experiment mute the sound on a movie and watch it. Then watch it again with the sound and notice the difference.I enjoy songs of praise, classical music, musicals, and rock n' roll (some of it). Do you ever get those commercial jiggles stuck in your head. It's cool for a while, but then you can't seem to erase them from what my grandmother called your tape it's annoying. How many of you remember the coke a cola song? I'd like 2 teach the world 2 sing in perfect harmony...... Or the band aid song? I am stuck on band aid brand so germs don't stick on me...... Or the ever famous McDonalds song? @all beef patties special lettuce cheese served on a sesame bun.You deserve a brake today @ mcdonalds... Why does our brain hold onto useless junk? And some of the things we want to remember won't stick. Just a thought.

Hi Windie, I saw on a post of yours that you need followers so I added myself. I was a single mom, raised three sons alone - they turned out very well, in spite of it!! I'm a GA girl, living in San Francisco for the last 30+ years, a Southern Belle ( GA born ), went to nursing school in N. O.
Enjoyed reading your blog..love your little girl...kept trying for my own. Come visit my blog if you have time. All the best to you...and, yes, I do get songs and jingles stuck in my brain ( what little is left of it!!! ).
You have a lovely blog. Your pictures are rare and very colourful. Thanks for visiting mine. I'm sure you'll have years of fun writing and developing your blog. Your little girl is precious.
Hi Windie, thanks for dropping by my blog. The pathway was decorated by ahem...me, but I asked somebody to do the concreting. Yes it is nice to live in paradise LOL. Take care of your little on very well.
AL
I just had the G&H pure cane sugar...from Hawaii...grown in the sun. Or something like that going trough my head.
I think we remember some of these things because humans are musical beings. A song or a rhyme can be easily remembered because we identify with them on an instinctive level. Music may be the ultimate form of language.
Hey Windie! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your comment!
You're definitely right about the music thing--they get stuck in our heads so easily! Ratty is right, it is an instinctual thing that actually lessens as we get older--try singing a little tune to a two year old. They'll sing it right back. Try the same thing with an eighty year old, and the same won't happen. I had a friend in college whose mother used to make up songs for everything (the Periodic Table of Elements, the Creed, math equations...) and that's how she taught her kids all sorts of stuff. It's so interesting!!!
Have a great day :)
Please visit my blog. I have an award for you.
Music of the Nature is great when you are inside a jungle. It is quiet and peaceful.
The sound of silence.
